Drillmec manufactures a full range of hydraulic top drives. Drillmec HTD series top drives can be fitted to almost any rig in order to improve performance and help in operations such as directional and horizontal drilling.

Drillmec designs top drive rails and torque tubes starting from drawings of the customer’s rig or from data collected by its technicians directly on the rig field.

The torque tube provides the connection between the new HTD top drive and the existing rig. The HTD top drive is supplied with an independent hydraulic power pack and controls and with a transportation cradle designed to hold it and help inmoving.

Our hydraulic top drive series are designed to deliver high performance, can be fitted to almost any mast design available. It has the following features:

• Maximum speed range of between 180 rpm to 190 rpm
• Power rating range of between 403 kW (5340 hp) to 470 kW (630 hp)
• Maximum drilling torque range of between 36,000 Nm (28,765 lb/sqft) to 53,000 Nm (39,090 lb/sqft)
• Maximum pull up static load of 226 mt (500,000 lbs) to 317 mt (700,000 lbs)
